Q: How much is it to attend the Reunion?


A: The registration fee is $110.00 per person if you get your form and fee in by August 15, 2021 Late Registration is $125.00 per person and will be accepted until September 15, 2021



Q: How do I register to attend?


A: Registration forms are available on this site to download. Print the form, fill it out and you can send it by mail or email. You can send a check or pay via PayPal. The information is all on the form.



Q: Can I pay at the door?
A: No, we won't be accepting registration at the door. There are several reasons for this we need to advise Hotel Catering of our total numbers for the banquet, arrange for enough seating in the meeting space, and we need to ensure we have enough name tags, snacks, drinks, and Gompers swag for everyone.


Q: Does the Registration include Hotel accommodations?


A: No, the registration fee covers the cost of the Banquet on Saturday evening, rental of our meeting space, Gompers swag, snacks and beverages, and other incidental/administrative costs for putting on the reunion.



Q: Is there a dress code for the Banquet?


A: Please wear whatever you are most comfortable in, most of us will be somewhere between casual and dressy casual. We will have a photographer to take a group photo.



Q: Do I have to stay at the Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria?


A: No you do not, but it definitely makes things more convenient.



Q: Is there parking at the Hotel?


A: Yes for a fee.



Q: Does the Hotel have a shuttle to and from the airport?


A: According to the Hotel, they stopped the shuttle temporarily due to the pandemic. We will update registered attendees when we get closer to October



Q: How much is an Uber ride from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport?


A: Depending upon the time of day approximately $15.00. Other options may be available as well, such as Lyft, taxi and private shuttle companies.



Q: Who is this reunion open to?


A: The reunions are open to all officers and crew of the USS Samuel Gompers and their guests. From commissioning to decommissioning crew.



Q: Who will be there?


A: Check out our Facebook page to see who plans to attend. Once we have all the registrations in, we will find out who is ok having their names published.




Q: How often are the reunions held?


A: As much as possible we plan on every other year.



Q: Where will the next reunion be held?


A: The next reunion will be somewhere on the West Coast. We are making every effort to move it from west, east and mid country.
