Q: How much is it to attend the Reunion?


A: The registration fee is $130.00 per person, please get your form and fees in by April 1, 2027.

Q: How do I register to attend?


A: Registration forms are available on this site to download. Print the form, fill it out and you can send it by mail or email. You can send a check or pay via PayPal. The information is all on the form.



Q: Can I pay at the door?
A: No, please pay your registration by April 1, 2027, this allows us to have the funds for major expenses such as the banquet and also the little administrative purchases such as swag, and snacks for the meeting space.



Q: Does the Registration include Hotel accommodations?


A: No, your registration fee of $130.00 per person just covers the banquet dinner, meeting space reservation, supplies, swag and some light snacks and beverages.



Q: Is there a dress code for the Banquet?


A: Please wear whatever you are most comfortable in, there are some people who love to dress up in formal evening attire, but please just come in whatever you would be comfortable attending the banquet dinner in. Most choose dressy casual for these events.



Q: Are all of our meals and beverages covered in the registration fee?


A: No, only the Banquet Dinner is covered, we will have cash bar.



Q: Is there parking at the Hotel?


A: Yes, they do charge a daily fee to park at the hotel.



Q: Is there a free airport shuttle to the hotel?


A: No, but there are several options at the airport, Taxi's, Lyft, and Uber as well as public transportation.



Q: Can I stay at a different hotel and attend the reunion?

A: You certainly can choose another hotel, but it can affect comps that our reunion group benefits from and makes it less convenient for you.



Q: Who is this reunion open to?


A: The reunions are open to all officers and crew of the USS Samuel Gompers and their guests. From commissioning to decommissioning crew. Each person who attends must be registered and paid for in order to attend.

A: Check out our Facebook page to see who plans to attend. Once we have all the registrations in, we will find out who is ok having their names published.




Q: How often are the reunions held?


A: As much as possible we plan on every other year.



Q: Where will the next reunion be held?


A: This reunion is going to be in New Orleans, we will get the information for the 2029 reunion out to everyone as soon as possible. We are making every effort to move it from west, east and mid country, and to visit places that people will enjoy visiting. Please join the Association and attend the Business Meeting we would love to hear where you think it should be next!
