Q: How much is it to attend the Reunion?


A: The registration fee is $115.00 per person, if you get your form and fee in by April 2, 2023. Late registration is $140.00 per person and must be in no later than June 1, 2023.



Q: How do I register to attend?


A: Registration forms are available on this site to download. Print the form, fill it out and you can send it by mail or email. You can send a check or pay via PayPal. The information is all on the form.



Q: Can I pay at the door?
A: No, we won't be accepting registration at the door. There are several reasons for this we need to advise Hotel Catering of our total numbers for the banquet, arrange for enough seating in the meeting space, and we need to ensure we have enough name tags, snacks, drinks, and Gompers swag for everyone.


Q: Does the Registration include Hotel accommodations?


A: No, the registration fee covers the cost of the Banquet on Saturday evening, rental of our meeting space, Gompers swag, snacks and beverages, and other incidental/administrative costs for putting on the reunion.



Q: Is there a dress code for the Banquet?


A: Please wear whatever you are most comfortable in, most of us will be somewhere between casual and dressy casual. We will be working on getting a photographer to take a group photo.



Q: Do I have to stay at the hosting Hotel?


A: No you do not, but it definitely makes things more convenient, and the cost of the Hospitality Suite is waived or reduced by meeting a set number of guest rooms rented, so we do encourage you to do so.



Q: Is there parking at the Hotel?


A: Yes,there is no fee to park at Bally's Casino Resort Hotel.



Q: Does the Hotel have a shuttle to and from the airport?


A: Fee based shuttles from the Reno Airport are available currently running around $60. per person round trip. This is the current pricing, I will post more information as we get closer to the reunion.



Q: How much is an Uber ride from Reno International Airport to the Hotel?


A: Depending upon the time of day and size of the Uber you request the price will vary from $80-180. one way. Other options may be available as well, such as Lyft or a taxi.



Q: Who is this reunion open to?


A: The reunions are open to all officers and crew of the USS Samuel Gompers and their guests. From commissioning to decommissioning crew. Each person who attends must be registered and paid for in order to attend.

A: Check out our Facebook page to see who plans to attend. Once we have all the registrations in, we will find out who is ok having their names published.




Q: How often are the reunions held?


A: As much as possible we plan on every other year.



Q: Where will the next reunion be held?


A: The next reunion will be determined at a later date. We are making every effort to move it from west, east and mid country, and to visit places that people will enjoy visiting. Please join the Association and attend the Business Meeting we would love to hear where you think it should be next!
